Gangster Abu Salem was flown into Mumbai on Monday morning from New Delhi to appear before a city court in connection with the 1993 serial blasts case.
"Salem has been called in to appear before the special TADA court hearing the 1993 serial blasts case," Salem's lawyer Ashok Sarogi said.
Salem has been taken to the high security Arthur road jail following his arrival from Delhi.
He was earlier lodged in the Delhi's Tihar jail where he was undergoing judicial custody in a case of extortion.
"Depending upon the Mumbai Court's direction he will be taken back to Delhi, where his judicial custody ends on July 2," Sarogi said.
