Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, convicted under the Arms Act in the 1993 serial blasts case, is expected to be sentenced next week after the special TADA court awards punishments to the remaining bomb planters and the Memon family.

TADA Judge P D Kode on Friday said that Dutt and three others convicted under the Arms Act will be sentenced after the remaining bomb planters, the ones who threw hand grenades at Mahim's Fisherman Colony and four family members of prime conspirator Tiger Memon.

The other members of the "Sanjay Dutt group" are Rusi Mulla, Kersi Adajania and Yusuf Nallwala.

Dutt was held guilty for possessing weapons but was acquitted under TADA and IPC on charges of conspiracy.

The actor was held guilty under sections 3 and 7 of Arms Act for possessing pistol and an AK-56 rifle respectively.

While section 3 attracts punishment ranging from one year to three years, section 7 provides minimum punishment of five years and maximum of ten years.

All the four have made an application for release under the Probation of Offenders Act. The special court received the Probation Officers' report in June.
