As global media glare and intense police probes continue to haunt the family of Kafeel and Sabeel Ahmed -- detained terror suspects in the failed UK bomb plots -- their father Maqbool Ahmed has reportedly fallen ill.
Ahmed, who was earlier 'mentally affected', had now fallen 'sick' while Sabeel's mother, Dr Zakia Ahmed was currently 'under tremendous mental pressure', a close relative said on Saturday adding he arrived from Mysore at the request of the duo.

A family acquaintance, Mohammed Sharif, who spoke to the media on Saturday afternoon, said that he had known the Ahmeds for a long time. He said the Ahmeds had lived in Saudi Arabia 15 years ago and their children Kafeel and Sabeel had their early schooling in Saudi.
Sharif said he could not comment on the brothers now, since he had seen them as young kids.
He said he had subsequently lost touch with the family.
Sharif said that he had known Maqbool when he worked in a hospital in Saudi. He had also supplied some hospital equipment to Maqbool when the family started its own nursing home in Bangalore.
