With the Central Bureau of Investigation stumbling upon more body parts and bones in the Nithari serial killings case, 38 parents whose children are missing have filed applications with the central investigating agency seeking DNA matching with the human remains found.

"We have submitted a list of 38 missing children along with their FIRs to the CBI for their consideration and further investigation," said Padmini Kumar, a social worker representing the parents of missing children.

"The pattern of children going missing from the nearby locality shows that there is much more to be investigated and unearthed," she said.

Nithari resident Meena, whose eight-year-old son Sumit went missing in 2004, said it was important for her to know at least if her child was dead or living.

"Till tests are not conducted, how will I know whether my son is among the victims or not," she said.

Another parent of missing child, Uma, a resident of nearby New Ashok Nagar, said she feared her 12-year-old son could be among the victims as he used to come to the area to play with his friends.
