Delhi police on Thursday questioned 10 women employees of Apollo Hospital including Raji Chandru, a senior official, who is accused of footing the medical expenses of Rahul Mahajan.
However, Chandru denied footing the medical expenses of Rahul saying they were paid by his relative and only the bill was in her name, police sources said.
She admitted that there may have been clerical level mistakes, but distanced herself from the possible errors saying she was not in charge of the administration of the hospital.
Apollo Hospital, in its statement issued through lawyer Lalit Bhasin, has claimed that Rahul's medical expenses were not borne by its employee as claimed by Delhi police and accused investigators of harassing its staffers.
Police had on Wednesday questioned 13 lady employees, including seven doctors, to find out what happened after Rahul's admission to the hospital after the late night party in the wee hours of June 2.
A first information report was registered against Apollo on June 9 for giving false information to police officials in the case, a day after a city court directed it to take action against the premier private hospital.
