Mansur Ali Khan (left) and Alam Sheikh are Dharavi residents. Sheikh owns a cigarette shop on the pavement near Mahim station.
"We were sitting under the bridge when we heard the noise. We saw the smoke. People were helping carry the injured from the train. And we carried them to the road and put them into taxis, trucks, tempos and lorries," says Sheikh.
"We took out the dead bodies last and put them into police vans," adds Khan.
Sheikh is using a crutch, though he has an artificial leg. It was hurting after Tuesday's exertion.
