United States Ambassador to Islamabad Ryan C Crocker has said that the remarks made by Assistant Secretary of State Richard Boucher in New Delhi that anti-India terrorists existed in Pakistan 'seemed wildly exaggerated.'
Boucher, had on Monday, sought joint action against terrorists, including those groups based in Pakistan.
"I have seen the press comments and they seem wildly exaggerated in that context," Crocker was quoted by the Pakistan's state-run APP news agency as saying at a function in Islamabad on Tuesday.
Besides suggesting joint fight against terrorism, Boucher also rubbished any attempt to link the scourge with non-resolution of Kashmir issue.
Earlier, speaking at the function, Crocker said Pakistan and the US enjoyed a 'strong, broad and deep' relationship. "We are not only allies in the war against terrorism but also allies in expansion of regional stability," he said, adding that Pakistan and the US had joined hands in a quest for peace and prosperity throughout the region.
