Navjot Sidhu, Bharatiya Janata Party member of Parliament, from Amritsar district has said that the release of Sarabjit Singh would figure in the talks during the PM-Musharraf meet in New York on September 14.

Talking to rediff.com at the Wagah checkpost, Sidhu said that he had come to participate in the moments of happiness of the families of those Indian prisoners of war who are being released.

"Let us not just put the issue of Sarabjit Singh. Musharraf, to my mind, has not taken a hard stand, but I am not judging him by his statement. We are talking of a bigger process that has beeen initiated. A good beginning will have a good end," he assured the relatives of the prisoners of war that their issues were being addressed.

"There are 79 confirmed POWs in Pakistan. We have passed four resolutions in Parliament. Sooner or later, they will also return home," he said.

Captain Ravinder Kaura will complete 60 years of age on September 26, 2005. He was arrested from Chamb sector in the 1971 war.
