India has conveyed to Pakistan that Sarabjit Singh, sentenced to death in Pakistan for his alleged involvement in the Lahore bomb blasts in 1990, is an Indian national.
His nationality has been confirmed by the Punjab government, an external affairs ministry spokesman said on Monday.
Two Indian High Commission officials had met Sarabjit in Kota Lakhpat jail in Lahore last week and had gathered his personal details.
