Sanjay Dutt campaigns for sister

Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt Sunday launched the poll campaign for his sister and Congress nominee in the Mumbai North-West Parliamentary bypoll, Priya Dutt with much fanfare despite opposition Bharatiya Janata Party-Sena threat to protest his campaigning for his alleged role in 1993 Mumbai blasts.

The actor toured several areas of the four legislative assembly constituencies that constitute the Parliamentary constituency, in a motorcade.

He is also slated to hold three public meetings, in which Bollywood personalities like actor Govinda, MP, Shabana Azmi, and Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president Prabha Rau are expected to join him later Sunday evening, sources said.

Sanjay Dutt, along with his sister started his campaign from suburban Bandra, where he held small-corner public meetings at seven places, including BMC colony, Shanti Nagar etc, they said.

"My father has done a lot of work for you. I have come here to ask his right, and vote to my sister," Sanjay Dutt said addressing a public rally at BMC colony.

"My sister too knows this constituency well and I assure you that she will also work for you as my father did."

"Bole to kya, behen ko apne vote karne ka," Sanjay said resonating the dialogue from his superhit film `Munnabhai MBBS'.
