Naga leader leaves for Amsterdam

Thuigeleng Muivah, general secretary of the Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagalim and five others left for Netherlands by a KLM flight on Monday morning.

Muivah had arrived in New Delhi on December 5 last year along with Isaac Chisi Swu to hold talks with the Centre on NSCN.

"I am happy with the talks and the next round of talks would be held abroad," Muivah told newsmen before leaving New Delhi.

Muivah had a series of meetings with Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and government nominee Oscar Fernandes before leaving India.

"This is my longest stay in India. I would like to leave on positive note," Muivah told rediff.com.

K Padmanabaiah, government interlocutor, would be flying to Netherlands in next couple of weeks to hold talks NSCN as the present ceasefire agreement comes to an end on July 31,2005. Muivah is likely to announce his future course of action after his meeting with Padmanabaiah.
