Gutka baron J M Joshi, who is being quizzed by the Central Bureau of Investigation for his alleged links with the underworld, on Sunday claimed he had received threatening calls from an alleged gangster.

He said he has written a complaint to the Anti-Extortion Cell about the phone calls.

"The complaint will be registered tomorrow [Monday]." The caller had identified himself as Ravi Pujary, he told reporters after he came out from the Central Bureau of Investigation office, where he was questioned for the third day on Sunday .

He was questioned for nearly six hours regarding the alleged help he provided to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's brother Anees Ibrahim to set up gutka business in Pakistan and also about the reported export of pouch-making machinery to Anees.

Joshi reiterated his charge that Manikchand Gutka owner Rasiklal Dhariwal, whose alleged links with the underworld were also being probed by the CBI, had introduced him to the underworld. "I stand by my statement given to a news channel", he said.

Joshi said he was waiting for the Bombay high court's order on his non-bailable warrant before commenting further on the investigation.
