The Nationalist Congress Party on Sunday announced its list of 104 candidates for the October 13 assembly polls in Maharashtra.
Prominent leaders whose names figure in the list are former Maharashtra deputy chief minister and former home minister Chhagan Bhujbal -- who will contest from Yewla constituency -- and Sunil Tatkare from Mangaon in Konkan region, state unit NCP chief R R Patil announced in Mumbai.
Bhujbal's son Pankaj would contest from Mazgaon in central Mumbai, he said.
The party has decided to contest 129 seats, he said. Discussion over one or two more seats are still on, he added.
Fifty per cent of the candidates are new faces even as most of the sitting MLAs have been given another chance, he said.
