Nuke secrets: Mumbai police arrest suspect

Akhtar Hussain Qutbuddin Ahmed, the man accused of offering Indian nuclear secrets to diplomatic missions in West Asia, was on Friday morning arrested by the Mumbai police on charges of forgery.

He would be produced in a court later in the day, Crime Branch officials told PTI in Mumbai.

Central security agencies on Thursday evening handed Akhtar over to the Crime Branch after they came to the conclusion that he did not have access to nuclear secrets, sources said.

The 35-year old businessman was deported from Dubai last Saturday.
