New PM to continue Kashmir policy: Musharraf

"Kashmir is an international dispute that requires the immediate attention of United Nations and other world powers," Musharraf told the President of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, Mohammed Anwar Khan, during a meeting in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.

Pakistan will press for the implementation of UN resolutions, he said and urged the international community to exert pressure on India to start "meaningful" talks.

Meanwhile, Commerce Minister Humayun Akthar has linked the initiation of dialogue for granting the Most Favoured Nation status to India to New Delhi taking steps to improve bilateral relations.

"Political disputes exist between Pakistan and India and in the prevailing circumstances, trade-related ties cannot flourish between the two countries," he said in an interview to The Nation.
