Actor-filmmaker Raja Bundela surrenders

Film actor Raja Bundela, who was accused of 'stage-managing' an assault on himself, surrendered before the Bhopal police on Tuesday. He was subsequently released on bail.

Superintendent of Police Arun Pratap Singh told reporters that Bundela, who was to fly to Bhopal from Mumbai, alighted at Indore last night. A police team was waiting for him at the Bhopal airport. He, however, used the road to avoid media attention and arrived in the city on Tuesday morning.

Three persons were arrested on November 17 for attacking Bundela after the press preview of his film Pratha. They, however, were let off on bail the next day.

The actor had refused to press charges against his assailants. Police gathered sufficient evidence against him indicating his 'involvement' in the incident.
