Violence in Gujarat, six killed

At least six people were killed and several injured when violence broke out in various parts of Gujarat on Monday.

Two people were killed and four injured when miscreants opened fire at revellers near Gogh Maharaj temple in Dasad village of Mehsana district, police said.

A three-day festival was being held near the temple.

Earlier in the day, two persons were stabbed to death at Mahudha village in Kheda district of central Gujarat, forcing the authorities to clamp an indefinite curfew, according to police sources.

A man was killed when a mob attacked the bus in which he was travelling on Mahudha-Dakod road, the sources said.

A crude bomb explosion claimed the life of a shopkeeper in Dani Limda area of Ahmedabad.
