Various religious parties in Pakistan have said that they would not stop supporting the operations of militants in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Pakistani daily The News, the Kashmir Conference organised by Muttahida Majlis Amal at Minar-e-Pakistan resolved that 'Kashmir jihad will continue... the military government which had already sold out Afghanistan must not do the same with Kashmir'.
The religious congregation also warned Musharraf that all the forces of the United States should be withdrawn claiming that these forces were in the country to destroy Pakistan's nuclear capability and 'enslave the nation'.
Warning Musharraf, Amir-e-Jamaat-e-Islami Qazi Hussain said that the present regime should not go back on Kashmir issue and if it did 'he (Musharraf) would not be allowed to rule any further'.
Jamaat-e-Ahle Hadis leader Sajid Mir said the Musharraf government was the first regime that had openly backed out of the 50-year-old national policy on Kashmir and started dubbing freedom fighters as terrorists.
