"We expect concrete, serious and substantial steps from Pakistan to deal with the issue of cross-border terrorism and action against terrorist groups based on its soil," an external affairs ministry spokesperson said.
She was responding to queries on reports that Islamabad has sought guarantees from Washington that no Indo-Pak conflict takes place.
Making it clear that New Delhi was against any third party involvement on Indo-Pak matters, the spokesperson said, "It is for our two countries to seek solutions. There is no room for any other country."
On the statement of Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf on Monday night that he was analyzing the cases of 20 people whose extradition has been sought by India for committing terrorist and heinous crimes in the country, she said India is yet to see satisfactory and substantive action being taken by Islamabad against terrorists.
"Let us see what action he (Musharraf) takes," she said, adding that Pakistan should openly renounce cross-border terrorism and 'shed its ambivalence' on this issue.
