President A P J Abdul Kalam's departure for Bhuj was delayed on Tuesday morning as he paid an unscheduled visit to Prekshak Bharati, a Jain institute near Gandhinagar.
The President later met the chief priest of Swami Narayan sect at its temple in Shahibaug in Ahmedabad before proceeding to the airport for his journey to Bhuj.
