Orissa police on Tuesday night arrested 28-year-old Buluram Mohanty, a close associate of Dara Singh, the prime accused in the murder of Australian missionary Graham Stuart Staines and his two minor sons, police said on Wednesday.
Mohanty was wanted for the murder of a Muslim trader Sheikh Rahman on August 26, 1999 in Padiabeda.
A police team captured Mohanty when he was waiting for a bus at Thakurmunda bus stand in Mayurbhanj district.
