Bodies of Congress leader Madhavrao Scindia, and seven others, who died in a plane crash on Sunday, were brought to Delhi on Monday morning by a special Indian Air Force aircraft from Agra.
Union Law Minister Arun Jaitley and Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Vijay Goel and senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid accompanied the bodies from Agra, where they were brought by road from the crash site near Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh.
Among those present at the airport included Communications Minister Pramod Mahajan, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, K Natwar Singh and Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Senior congress leader Salman Khurshid said the post-mortem of the bodies of Madhavrao Scindia and seven others would be done at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi.
He said that earlier it was decided that the post-mortem would be performed in Agra, but the change was effected after holding consultation with senior district and police officials.
