Chief of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Tayiba, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed has blamed the present military regime for the prevailing situation in Afghanistan.
Addressing a Jihad seminar in Lahore on Wednesday, he also termed former prime minister Benazir Bhutto's allegations against his group 'marginalising Kashmir freedom struggle' as an 'idle talk' aimed at garnering American support.
Benazir, currently in India, has blamed outside militant groups like Lashkar and Al Qaeda for taking control of the 'genuine Kashmir freedom movement'.
Saeed regretted that rulers of Muslim countries had become puppets in the hands of foreign forces.
He said the Taleban were ready to fight a guerrilla war for a long period.
Saeed was quoted by Urdu newspaper Ausaf as saying that no world power was now able to stop jihad worldwide, including in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Pakistan police raided camps of various jihadi outfits and arrested seven activists belonging to various groups in Tilagang district of Punjab province and registered criminal cases against them, Jang reported on Wednesday.
