Vajpayee, Musharraf to interact on five occasions

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf are expected to meet at least on five occasions in Delhi and Agra during the July 14-16 visit of the Pakistani leader.

The first interaction between the two leaders will be during the ceremonial reception for Musharraf at Rashtrapati Bhavan on July 14.

Vajpayee and Musharraf will have another opportunity to meet during the banquet hosted in honour of the visiting dignitary by President K R Narayanan at Rashtrapati Bhavan, where the general is likely to stay overnight.

While details of Musharraf's visit are still being fine tuned, the two leaders are expected to have a one-to-one meeting in Agra followed by delegation-level talks covering the entire gamut of bilateral issues, including Kashmir.

Vajpayee is likely to host a lunch for Musharraf and the two will be hosted to dinner by the UP governor on July 15.

The talks could spill over to July 16 before Musharraf leaves for Ajmer Sharif via Jaipur after lunch.
