Pakistan on Sunday night said that there would be no fixed agenda for the forthcoming summit meeting between Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
But military spokesman Major General Rashi Querishi also said that the focus would be on Kashmir.
He said, "As far as Pakistan is concerned the focus of the dialogue will be on Kashmir and any other issue which India may like to discuss."
General Querishi said outgoing president Rafiq Tarar was informed about the dissolution of the parliament and provincial assemblies a few days before Musharraf took over as president.
He also said that Musharraf was committed to handing over power to an elected government by October 2002, as specified by the Supreme Court.
Querishi denied reports that a prime minister would be appointed. He also termed as baseless reports that local government institutions would be used as an electoral-college by Musharraf to get himself elected as president.
