Hunt for a suitable hotel begins

Top central and Uttar Pradesh government officials on Thursday spent the entire day surveying Agra's best hotels to choose one of them for the much-hyped Vajpayee-Musharraf summit in July.

The officials, including Naresh Dayal, UP Home Secretary, and Malay Sinha, Deputy Director (Intelligence), visited different hotels minutely examining them from the security viewpoint, official sources said.

They spent most of the time in Jaypee Palace, a five-star hotel with a landing facility.

The team also spent some time in Hotel Amar Vilas, which is close to the Taj Mahal, the monument of love, the sources said.
