Musharraf's haveli 'cleansed' with Ganga water

Six days after Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf's visit to his ancestral home in old Delhi, a group of volunteers from the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Sena 'cleansed' the Neharwali Haveli with Ganga water on Friday.

The group came at around 6.30 am with earthen pots, chanted mantras in the courtyard of the haveli for a few minutes and went away, said a resident of the haveli complex.

They took about three rounds of the courtyard, sprinkled Ganga water and then destroyed all the earthen pots, she added.

The Delhi Police confirmed the incident but said no prior information or notice had been given in this regard.

Local MLA Shoaib Iqbal condemned the incident
