Jaswant rules out third-party mediation

External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh on Tuesday ruled out third-party mediation between India and Pakistan.

Speaking to newspersons a day after the Agra summit meeting between Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf failed to yield a result, Jaswant Singh said: "Two parties are more than adequate. Three is a crowd."

He said India and Pakistan are enough to negotiate bilateral problems and "there is no question of a third-party involvement."
