Several local clubs, social organisations and women's groups in separate statements extended support to the proposed procession and urged the government not to disturb it.
Any attempt to prevent the procession may lead to violence and an unwanted situation, the statements said and appealed to participants to abstain from violence.
Meanwhile, six organisations spearheading the anti-ceasefire agitation on Wednesday night formed the 'United Committee of Manipur' (UCM) to intensify their stir.
A UCM spokesman told mediapersons on Wednesday evening that they would support the women's rally.
Reports said black flags were hoisted at the offices of several local clubs and organisations as a mark of protest to the ceasefire extension. Taxis, autorickshaws and several other private vehicles were plying with black flags, they added.
Thousands of women in several parts of the Valley continued sit-in protests against the ceasefire extension during the 12-hour curfew relaxation from 0500 hours (IST) in Imphal East, Imphal West and Thoubal districts amid tight security deployment, official sources said.
The six organisations which formed the UCM were the All Manipur Students Union, All Manipur United Clubs Organisation, All Manipur Kanba Ima Lup (Mothers Association), National Identity Protection Committee, United People's Front and International Peace and Solidarity Advancement.
Meanwhile, former chief minister Maharajkumar Priyabrata Singh appealed to all communities to refrain from making provocative statements to maintain the tradition of peaceful co-existence in Manipur.
