Forgery alleged in Prasada papers

Three Congress delegates from Jharkhand's west Singhbhum district have denied having signed any proposal in favour of Jitendra Prasada for presidentship.

In a letter to All-India Congress Committee election authority convenor Ram Niwas Mirdha, Deenbandhu Ghosh and Antu Hembrom alleged that their signatures appearing on the set of proposals filed in favour of Prasad were forged.

Party delegate Manoj Prasad said he came to know from some party leaders that his name appeared as a proposer for Prasada, who is contesting against Sonia Gandhi.

They said their names appearing on the proposals was part of a conspiracy allegedly hatched by some senior leaders and office-bearers of the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee and Jharkhand State Congress Committee.
