Emissaries receive signal from Veerappan

Karnataka government confirmed that the four-member emissary team led by journalist R R Gopal has received a 'signal' from bandit Veerappan on Friday inviting them to the forests for talks on the Dr Rajakumar hostage crisis.

Karnataka Home Minister M Mallikarjuna Kharge told reporters in Bangalore that Gopal and three others including, Tamil nationalist leader Nedumaran were likely to begin talks with Veerappan to negotiate the release of Dr Rajakumar and two others held hostage by him on Saturday.
