Catholic priest beaten up in MP

A Catholic church was attacked and its priest beaten up by some armed miscreants at Peeparipura village in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh late Monday night.

District Superintendent of Police Vijay Kumar said the miscreants forced their way into the church and assaulted its 65-year-old priest, Father Alface.

The priest has been admitted to a hospital at Gwalior in a serious condition.

Senior officials, including Dictrict Collector Pramod Agarwal, rushed to the spot soon after a complaint was filed some nuns attached to the church.
