25 killed in lorry mishap in Karnataka

Twentyfive people were killed and 42 others injured when a lorry in which they were travelling rammed a stationary lorry near Managoli, in Bijapur district of Karnataka, in the wee hours today.

The victims included eight women and 10 children.

The passengers were on their way to a place of worship when the mishap occurred.

The injured were admitted to hospital. Senior police officials have rushed to the spot.
