Tamil editor to mediate with Veerappan

Tamil bi-weekly Nakkeeran's editor R R Gopal will leave Monday night as the emissary, to meet forest brigand Veerappan, to secure the release of Kannada actor Rajakumar and three others, abducted Sunday night.

This was disclosed to newsmen in Madras Monday night by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi after a meeting with Union Ministers Ananth Kumar and V Srinivasa Prasad, who airdashed there.
