Doctors pitch in with MP government against BJPRahul Singh in Bhopal The ongoing tussle between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Madhya Pradesh government has taken a new turn. Junior doctors and students of the Bhopal Medical College have gone on an indefinite strike against alleged misbehaviour by injured BJP corporators of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation, who were admitted to the college hospital. The doctors' agitation seems to snowballing, with doctors at other places in Madhya Pradesh threatening to cripple medical services in the state if the police cases registered against the some of their colleagues are not withdrawn. The BJP corporators, injured in an alleged police lathi-charge during municipal corporation elections on Friday, were involved in a scuffle with some doctors in the early hours of Sunday. They complained that they were beaten up by the junior doctors and medical students, leading to to cases and counter-cases being filed. The political patients were later shifted to another local hospital run by public sector Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd.
