Proceedings against Pathak, Bhatt stayed

The Gujarat high court has stayed all proceedings against former state health minister Ashok Bhatt, former Union minister of state for defence Harin Pathak and seven others for their alleged involvement in the murder of a police constable in Ahmedabad during the anti-reservation stir in 1985.

Admitting a miscellaneous criminal application filed by the accused on Wednesday, Justice A K Trivedi has posted the matter for final hearing on December 26.
