Pak denies murder of pilot

E-Mail this report to a friend

The controversy over the 'murder' of Squadron Leader Ajay Ahuja has taken a new turn with Pakistan denying that it has shot dead the Indian Air Force pilot.

The allegation is 'totally untrue and concocted', said a Pakistan army spokesman.

The allegation has been made ''to gain public sympathy and divert world attention from the atrocities that the Indian armed forces are committing in India-held Kashmir,'' Yahoo quoted Brigadier Rashid Qureshi as saying.

''Any discerning military or civilian mind would know that a... prisoner, as valuable as a senior pilot, is much more valuable alive than dead,'' he said.
