Kashmir militants 'shot down' copterThe Mutahidda Jihad Council has 'claimed the responsibility' for shooting down the Indian Air Force Mi-17 helicopter gunship on Friday. The rebel Kashmir Muslim group has said that its militants used a hand-held missile yesterday to bring down the chopper killing its four-member crew, reports CNN. However, The Dawn of Pakistan, said the militant group representing about 10 Kashmiri freedom groups ''had shot down two Indian helicopters in Pakistan occupied Kashmir''. Earlier, reports said that the chopper was shot down by Pakistan-backed infiltrators using a Stinger missile.
