Mamata to tie up with Pawar only if Vajpayee is PMTrinamul Congress chief Mamata Banerjee has said her party was ready for a tie-up with the new political front to be formed by the three expelled Congress leaders if they accept Atal Bihari Vajpayee as the prime ministerial candidate in the coming parliamentary elections. Addressing the media, she said, ''We have no reservations in taking the trio in our fold if they do not have any second thoughts in this regard.'' She said the Congress' prospects were very bleak in the coming election and added that the party would definitely be weakened after the revolt of Sharad Pawar, Purno A Sangma and Tariq Anwar and their subsequent expulsion from the party.
