Pak ready for 'any eventuality'Pakistan has ruled out any full-fledged war with India as tension grew along the Line of Control in Kashmir. But Islamabad said it was ready to 'meet any eventuality'. ''We are extremely alert and monitoring the situation,'' domestic news agencies quoted Brigadier Rashid Qureshi, head of the Pakistan army public relations department, as saying amid reports of more border clashes. He said there were reports that India was bracing for a massive air and military operation in the Kargil and Drass sectors. ''If there is any violation of the Line of Control by the Indian army or air force, it will be taken very seriously,'' Brigadier Qureshi warned. He denied that Pakistani troops attempted to send infiltrators into Kashmir. Brigadier Qureshi quoted Pakistan army chief, General Pervez Musharaff as saying, ''It should be made clear to them that to lay blame on Pakistan or any effort or a misguided plan will be taken very, very seriously, and consequences will lie on India.''
