Pak attempt to capture Siachen post foiled

Alert Indian troops foiled yet another attempt to capture an important post on Siachen glacier when they killed two Pakistani soldiers yesterday.

A defence ministry spokesman told UNI that a group of five to six Pakistani soldiers were seen moving towards an Indian post in the wee hours. An alert sentry immediately opened fire.

''Two Pakistani soldiers were killed in the shootout. The rest of them were seen running back towards their post,'' he said.

This was the eleventh attempt by the Pakistan troops to capture the important post.
