Pak stands exposed before world community: AdvaniMukhtar Ahmad in Srinagar The Union Home Minister L K Advani has said Pakistan has miserably failed in internationalising Kashmir issue by engineering intrusion in Kargil. Addressing a gathering in Poonch on Sunday after his arrival on a day's visit to Jammu, the home minister said: "In bargain Pakistan stands exposed before the world community. They miscalculated India's firm resolve to defend its territorial integrity." Advani congratulated the residents of the border areas for braving the enemy's relentless shelling. "We salute the valour of the border people of Jammu and Kashmir in facing the brunt of Pak shelling with courage and fortitude," he said. The home minister on his arrival was received by the Chief Minister, Dr Farooq Abdullah, the State Police Chief Gurbachan Jagat and other officers at the airport. Advani accompanied by Dr Farooq Abdullah and Union Home Secretary Deepak Chopra later visited Poonch, Rajouri and other border areas. "When it comes to national security, Indians are one, Advani said and hoped that "Pakistan will not misjudge Indian Army's might again." Reminding Pakistan of the humiliating defeats in the past three wars and the surrender of its 93,000 troops in 1971, the home minister said: "Instead of learning a lesson, the neighbour chose to push in armed militants in Jammu and Kashmir.'' Advani declared that India will throw out the intruders backed by Pak army soon from its soil. He added: ''Pakistan wants to take away the area in Kargil and Drass including Srinagar-Leh road apprehending that the Line Of Control might be converted into an international border some day. But our forces have frustrated all their plans. Their advance has been contained, and they will be completely evicted from our territory soon."
