Pakistan targets civilian, military areas in Drass, BatalikFor the third day today, Indian troops fired artillery shells to evict the Pakistani intruders still holed up in the Mushkoh Valley, Drass and Batalik sub-sectors, a defence spokesman said in New Delhi. Nearly 50-60 intruders are still entrenched in the sectors holding three positions even five days after the expiry of the July 17 deadline for withdrawal. Meanwhile, Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked artillery shelling from across the Line of Control on civilian and military areas in the Drass and Batalik sub-sectors last night. There were no casualties. "Indian troops are advancing and the intruders are being evicted as per operational plans," the spokesman said. UNI
