India will not obstruct CTBT coming to force, says JaswantIndia will not stand in the way of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty coming into force in September this year provided every other country follows suit, External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh has said. ''This is the sort of time-frame that we are working on,'' he said in a BBC programme. In this connection, Singh also referred to the pronouncements made by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the United Nations General Assembly and Parliament that the enforcement of the treaty would not be delayed because of India. Referring to Indo-Pak relations, the minister said the new Delhi-Lahore bus service would be inaugurated shortly and the prime minister would be one of the passengers. Singh reiterated that India's nuclear programme was not country-specific. ''We are not in an arms race,'' he added. UNI
