Train mishap death toll crosses 400The death toll in yesterday's railway disaster in West Bengal has crossed the 400 mark. The victims include 100 security personnel. Official sources said 250 bodies had been extricated so far from the mangled coaches of the New Delhi-bound Brahamaputra Mail and the Guwahati-bound Awadh-Assam Express. Over 750 have been injured in the mishap. While the bodies could be extricated from two of the coaches, the rescue operators failed to enter four other coaches because of the non-availability of cranes and gas cutters. UNI
