Snow in Kashmir, heat wave in Jammu

Severe heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu.

Heat wave conditions also prevailed in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, some parts of the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, north-central Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Telangana and the remaining parts of Haryana.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Rayalaseema and some parts of the Bihar plateau, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu.

They were above normal in some parts of north interior Karnataka.

Day temperatures were normal in the rest of the country, barring Arunachal Pradesh from where data were sparse.

Rain or snow fell at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers fell at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and Kerala.

Very light rain also fell at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and coastal and north interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or snow is likely to fall at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to fall at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Haryana, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.
