Advani calls Karunanidhi to seek supportUnion Home Minister L K Advani has telephoned Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi at his residence last night to seek the support of the six-member DMK parliamentary party wing in the event of a trial of strength to the Vajpayee government in the Lok Sabha, according to official sources in Madras. The sources said the chief minister did not commit himself on the issue while speaking to Advani. The sources said Advani had tried to contact Karunanidhi earlier in the day when the state assembly was in session. Karunanidhi had already made it clear that the only DMK general council or the executive council was empowered to take such crucial decisions. UNI
