BJP warns rebel candidates with expulsionThe Bharatiya Janata Party today announced that rebel candidates will be expelled from the party if they did not withdraw their nominations for the assembly elections in Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram. Talking to newspersons, party spokesman M Venkaiah Naidu said the BJP had taken the matter seriously and would initiate disciplinary action against rebel candidates who had filed their nominations. The action would include expulsion from the party also. He, however, said a majority of such candidates had withdrawn their nominations in favour of the official candidates but those who chose to remain in the fray would be dealt with strongly. UNI
