Patel to take up farmers's suicide with VajpayeeKarnataka Chief Minister J H Patel proposes to meet Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to discuss the issue of suicides by farmers in two districts of his state. Patel made the announcement in the state assembly. He said a joint committee of the state legislature would visit Gulbarga and Bidar, where the suicides due to crop failure had occurred. He also announced state legislators would contribute a month's salary to the Farmer's Relief Fund, to be set up soon. Patel said he would lead an all party delegation to Delhi after the joint House committee submitted its report. UNI
