Russia asks Pak to resume talks with IndiaRussia has asked Pakistan to resume bilateral talks with India at the very earliest. Pakistan envoy to Moscow Manzoor Alam was called to the foreign office on Tuesday, where the official message was conveyed to him. Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karsin reportedly referred to Indian prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's recent interview to the Russian media, in which he had expressed India's readiness to resume talks with Pakistan. While telling the Pakistan envoy that his government should take up India's offer at the earliest, Moscow once again reiterated its opposition to any attempt to internationalise the Kashmir dispute, maintaining that it should be solved only through bilateral dialogues between the two countries. |
